Overview

On behalf of Drexel University, the University of Massachusetts at Boston, and SUNY Cortland, we are pleased to have successfully completed our 3rd annual Northeast Regional Conference event that was held on March 20th to 22nd, 2014. Each year this conference brings together PIs, Noyce pre-service Scholars, and Noyce in-service Scholars (Teachers) from the 44+ Noyce Programs in the Northeast region to meet, network, and share ideas and best practices pertinent to teaching in high-need schools. The conference is a great professional development opportunity, including relevant speakers and informative workshops on topics such as classroom management, technology, and model lessons/activities. There will always be opportunities to network and meet fellow Scholars and teachers.

Announcements

We are very pleased that we have received funding for 2015 that will make it possible once again to provide this unique conference networking and learning opportunity for up to two PIs/Co-PIs/project staff and two Noyce pre-service/in-service Scholars. The grant will pay for travel and hotel costs associated with the conference. Invitations are now being sent to all active programs in the Northeast region (CT, DE, MD, ME, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, WV, VT).

We look forward to creating new connections and strengthening our active community of Noyce Scholars!
